Help Victoria's land, water and communities thrive

We look after the people who look after Victoria.

Real, lasting environmental change happens on the ground when local communities look after their own patch. Our 90,000 volunteers know their soil, trees, and creeks in their regions better than anyone else. They are the ones planting native forests, securing wildlife corridors, and restoring local waterways. As they do so, they are also building lasting friendships, productive agriculture and more resilient regional communities.

But passion alone does not restore landscapes or keep communities connected.

Behind every local landcare group in our state is Landcare Victoria Inc. We provide the insurance, practical training, and governance backing that keep this grassroots network running safely and legally. We reduce the paperwork so our 650-member groups can focus on the work. We also stand up as the state's peak body, demanding the long-term funding and policy backing our movement deserves.

The need for our work is growing rapidly. Volunteer numbers have surged in recent years and will continue to climb as we make progress on our goal of empowering 120,000 Victorians to collectively build more resilient, biodiverse and productive landscapes. Our funding, however, remains at 2015 levels.

When you give to Landcare Victoria, your money goes directly toward keeping our state's largest environmental volunteer network active, protected, and equipped.

Every gift helps, but could you make yours monthly? All gifts $2 and over are tax deductible.
